FAG Bearing

FAG Bearing

FAG brand originated from the inspiration of a genius. As early as 1883, Friedrich Fischer designed a special steel ball grinder in Schweinford, Germany, which made it possible for the first time to produce a steel ball with a complete ball by using the grinding process. The invention is considered as the cornerstone of the rolling bearing industry. This is why FAG has become one of the leading brands in machinery manufacturing, automotive industry and aerospace technology. In the world’s major industrial countries, there are FAG companies, branches and sales agents.

Since 2001, FAG has become a part of Schaeffler Group and has played an active and important role in the aerospace, automotive and industrial fields of the Group. Combined with INA products, FAG has the most complete product outline in the rolling bearing industry. It covers all applications in production machinery, power transmission and railway, heavy industry and consumer goods industries.

Schaeffler Group of Germany is a global leader in the production of rolling bearings and linear motion products, and is also one of the most prestigious suppliers in the automotive industry. The Group has about 65000 employees worldwide and more than 180 branches in more than 50 countries, with sales of about 7.3 billion euros in 2009. This makes Schaeffler Group one of the largest family business groups in Germany and Europe. Schaeffler Group owns three brands: INA, LuK and FAG, providing high-quality bearings and parts for automotive, industrial and aerospace fields.
