Product description of SKF Bearing BT2B 331854/HA1

SKF Bearing BT2B 331854/HA1, TDI design Double row tapered roller bearing, SKF manufactures double row tapered roller bearings in the TDO and TDI designs, in many variants and with different features. Depending on the design, these bearings can accommodate heavy radial loads, axial loads in both directions and have a high degree of stiffness. Double row tapered roller bearings are typically used in gearboxes, hoisting equipment, rolling mills and machines in the mining industry, e.g. Tunnel-ling machines.

With a wide range of designs to choose from, SKF tapered roller bearings are also customization to match your specific speed, load, contamination, temperature or vibration conditions.

SKF Tapered roller bearings feature a cup and cone assembly. The cup is comprised of the outer ring and the cone assembly consists of inner ring, rollers, and cage. This bearing construction accommodates combined loads and provides low friction during operation. By adjusting one single row tapered roller bearing against a second tapered roller bearing and applying a preload, a rigid bearing application can be achieved.

SKF Bearing BT2B 331854/HA1, SKF tapered roller bearings are also made to Explorer class. SKF Explorer combines our expertise in bearing design, trichology, metallurgy, lubrication and manufacturing. SKF Explorer tapered roller bearings are typically used in bearing solutions where there is a need to increase performance, reduce friction or increase power density in applications.

SKF Bearing BT2B 331854/HA1, Tapered roller bearings comprise an outer and inner ring with tapered raceways as well as tapered rollers in a window cage. These are double row individual bearings, usually of open design, which for technical reasons are always adjusted against a second tapered roller bearing in a mirror image arrangement. Open bearings are not self-retaining. As a result, the inner ring with the rollers and the cage can be mounted separately from the outer ring.

SKF Bearing BT2B 331854/HA1, Tapered roller bearings can support high radial and axial loads in equal measure. Depending on the arrangement, they are suitable when precise axial guidance of the shaft is required (locating bearing function), or when the bearing arrangement must have very high axial rigidity and be operated clearance-free or under preload.

Thermal characteristics critically affect the service reliability of double-row tapered roller bearing in high speed railway. Research on the heat generation and temperature field is essential for bearing's structure design and operation monitoring. In this article, heat generation model for both raceway and rib of railway bearings were respectively established via the combination of local thermal approach with elastomer dynamic lubrication (EHL) theory, the heat generation characteristics of bearing were investigated in multiple working conditions and structural parameters. Then the finite element method was employed via the APDL program to analyze bearing's temperature field distribution and its influence factors. The test rig for full-size double-row tapered roller bearing of high speed railway was constructed and the thermal monitoring were conducted in accordance with the test criteria TB/T3000-2000, the thermal test method on the axle-box test rig for axle-box rolling bearings in rolling stock. The results showed that, for the total heat rate of each column rollers, heat generation of the raceway was much larger than the other parts, which would have distinct effect on bearing's overall temperature. For the heat rate per unit area, heat generation of the rib was much obvious. Hence it would be a key factor to induce the local transient temperature rise of high speed railway bearing. The highest temperature of inner ring was located in the rib. Therefore the rib would be a critical part for the temperature rise failure of high speed railway bearing. Optimization of the rib parameters will be an effective approach for controlling the local temperature rise and ensuring the reliability during bearing operation.
